House of Atum

Nomads and livestock travel through the storage city of the wadi, called Etham by some. Locals respect it as the House of Atum. There is a temple. You can hear chants coming from the temple. You can hear livestock bells rattling in the streets as everyone is busy about their business. There are merchants and travelers. Many Asiatics. For the most part, everyone respects each other and their differences.

"There are babies in the Nile!" An older Egyptian man runs into the crowd of travelers. "Babies! In the Nile! The water is contaminated!" He holds his fist to his mouth. The onlookers stare. People are making transactions. Some are listening to the man, but no one knows how to really react. No one is saying anything to him, or telling him to go away. Mostly just staring or ignoring.

"Hey old man, I'm sure the guard is handling it."
"No! The guard poured babies into the Nile."

Some of the nomads halted their livestock. "We are on our way to the Delta. What are we going to do for water if there's babies in it? Are they peeing in it?" Some laugh. "Everything you are saying sounds strange. Why would anyone put babies in the water?" Someone in the crowd challenged.

"He's telling the truth! There are babies in the Nile." a woman runs up accompanying the man. "They look white. They are dead white babies."

Amenmose

Amenmose (Moses) depicted a little younger; good looking

Amenmose (Moses) was a tall man in his forties. Probably a little taller than most Egyptians, somewhat lighter in skin, and muscular. He was well dressed, educated and skilled in the art of hand-to-hand combat. His hair was dark-brown, and not the typical deep black. He was in Etham, the storage city, watching additions to the city being built under the new jurisdiction, but he is not a local to this city.

"Hey, you dog, I haven't got all day for your lack of enthusiasm." Someone out of sight said.

Amenmose was leaning up against a whitish stone building in the shade from the hot day sun. He looked up when he heard the shouts of name-calling; a "dog". He walked around the corner and saw an Egyptian supervisor with his hands on a white construction worker.

Amenmose pulled the supervisor off of the worker. The worker falls on the sandy ground. But the supervisor is standing apart from them. Cocking his head slightly right, he eyes Amenmose up and down, observing his light features. The supervisor then shakes his head looking at the worker who is coughing at the ground, and then screams: "We dumped a bunch of your white babies in the Nile years ago. But everywhere I look, I see more and more of you around."

Amenmose squinted, looked left and right, to see if anyone was around, pulled his dagger out from his waist, and charged at the supervisor with full might, grabbing at his head and slitting his throat. Feet are dragged around the corner of the building. Amenmose buries the supervisor in the sand.

A couple of days have passed. Amenmose is walking through the storage town, passing the chants echoing from the House of Atum. Contruction of add-ons to the city are still going on. He sees two white workers arguing. Amenmose sighs, "Hey what's the matter with you two?"

Guard1

The white workers stop what they are doing, "Are you going to kill us, like you did that Egyptian?"

Amenmose's face went pale and retreats.

He quickly finds a local stable of horses, pays for the horse on the spot. He knows he's being watched and possibly followed. Amenmose mounts his horse and gallops to the north of the Nile Delta. He stops at a seaport called the "City of Rooster". Some know it as Ezion-Geber. There he waters his horse. By the time he arrives there, it is night fall. The full moon is out. Palm trees. Two guard of the king see Amenmose. They recognize him by his attire.

"Amenmose. It's been a while since we've seen you. Where have you been lately?" Akar says with a wide Egyptian grin.

GuardAkar

Akar, Guard of the King (depiction)

Amenmose quickly reaches for his dagger. The three men begin fighting hand-to-hand. Blocking. Blading. His horse, tied up at the water hole whinnies. Amenmose looses his dagger on the ground. Akar grabs a whip and slashes it across the ground like a viper in heat, knocking the dagger clear out of reach. Amenmose stomps on the whip, while the second man comes at him with a mace. Amenmose pulls out a throwstick from his side, hurdles it in to the air, and the blunt end strikes Akar at his chest. With such strength, Amenmose actually grabs hold of the second man's mace, that was coming toward him and shoves it so hard that the assailant looses grip of the mace, and the back (blunt) end impacts him in his stomach. The two men are not dead, but they are grounded.

Amenmose unstraps his horse from the waterhole and gallops East from the seaport. He enters the Wadi Rumi region of Arabia when he stops his horse to break. It is about morning. Not too far away he hears a lot of yelling and commotion between men and women. He looked for his dagger, but then remembered loosing it back at Rooster City. With his horse he trots over to the group and sees several men shoeing away several women from a waterhole who wanted to water their livestock. With his horse he scares the men away, and guides the livestock back to the waterhole.

The women are pleased and do obeisance. One of the women, dressed in a scarlet red burka, looks up to Amenmose and her eyes tell him everything he needs to know.

They run to the father, who is a local priest named Reuel. He resides in a big tent. "Father, an Egyptian rescued our flock from the shepherds." "Invite him here. Let him have dinner with us. Amenmose was pleased to dine with them. They all sat with their butts on the ground eating around the low table. The scarlet women glanced at Amenmose several times. The father noticed. She would always tend to Amenmose, food, drink, looks.

Reuel announced, "Amenmose. Thank you for everything you have done for us. We welcome you into our family. I give to you my scarlet daughter, Zipporah."

After Amenmose and Zipporah were blessed, they had setup their own tent. He removed all of his expensive clothes. They were threads from Cairo. But none of it was needed now. Not an inch of clothe in this Arabian desert. She proceeded to sit on him. "I have new clothes for you." She whispered in his ear, moaning with every thrust in his lap. "I will give you everything you need and more. I promise you Moses."

Zipporah. And she said to her husband, "Let me please you."

"Mose. You know I love you. But I am curious about something."

"Yes?"

"I have a younger bother who my sisters cared for. His goo-deeb (guedib, arabic for penis) looks somewhat different than yours. Help me understand. Of course, I love your form it is most pleasant. Is something wrong with my brother?"

Amenmose took a deep breath. His eyes shifted right. Then he looked at her. "I am circumcised, where the tip of flesh is removed. Your brother is fine. I belong to the Yahweh priestly class in my social status."

"Who is your Al-Ah?" (Alleh, arabic for God)

"Yaweh Allah."

"Mose, what does your name mean?"

"I think it means 'to draw out of water' if I remember correctly. Tia gave me my name."

"Is Tia your mother?"

"Yes. Well... my step mother."

"Do you know your real ami?" (ami, arabic for mom)

"Not really." He had a lost look in his eyes. A tear forming.

"Mose! What shall we name our son?"

"I have become a foreigner in a foreign land." Moses said, "Let us call him Gershom."

"I love it!" She smiled.

"For our second child, do you think we will have a boy or girl?" Zipporah gazed at Mose.

"Our second child shall be a girl." Mose said with a loving smile.

"Hmpf. I don't know if I can handle a girl. I wouldn't know what to tell her. I wouldn't want to tell her anything. I would shut her ears to everything. And she would become as naive as me."

"I love you Ziporrah, no matter what." He gently touched her face, her cheek. She took his hand and kissed his hand.

"If we have a second boy, his name shall be Eliezer, for God is my help and delivered me from Set."

"Who is Set my love?"

"King of chaos."

In the darkness....

Akar's eyes. His small nose. Wide viper grin appear in low light. "I know where you are Moses."

A nictating membrane slipped across his eyes moistening them from the Arabian desert heat.

"I see you. God as my witness. I see you." Akar's face slipped back into the darkness.

Mount Horeb
Moses was tending his father in laws flock. There was a peculiar large bush from which an intense white light emanated. It startled Moses. He heard his name. And 'I am that I am' proceeded say everything that Moses was expected to do: Confront Ramsey the 2nd, and plunder his house. So Moses prepared to head West back to Egypt. By this time he had two sons.
